Delete my account
Deletion is permanent and irreversible. From the application, your account and your personal data are deleted immediately. For a request by email, processing takes place within a maximum of 30 days.
Method 1 — From the application (recommended)
On your phone or computer
- Open SoChef and sign in to your account
- Tap your Profile (icon at the top right)
- Scroll down to the Settings section
- Tap “Delete my account”
- Confirm the permanent deletion
Method 2 — By email
Send your request
If you cannot access the application, send an email to support@sochef.app with:
- Subject: Account deletion request
- The email address you registered with on SoChef
- Confirmation that you wish to permanently delete your account

We will process your request within a maximum of 30 days, in accordance with the GDPR (article 17).
What happens to your data?
Data deleted
- Profile (email, name)
- Private and unpublished recipes
- Cooking history
- Favourites
- Community posts
- Challenges in progress
- Shopping lists
- Weekly planning
- Fridge contents
- Family members
- Points and badges
Data kept
- Recipes already published to the SoChef catalogue and their AI-generated illustrations — kept in anonymised form, with no link to your account, under the attribution “SoChef”
- Anonymised technical logs (12 months max, GDPR art. 17.3.b)
- No other personal data
Other rights
In accordance with the GDPR, you may also request:
- Access to your personal data
- Rectification of inaccurate data
- Portability of your data in a standard format
- Objection to certain processing
